I'm not being critical, I'm just trying to describe what I see. My eye expects to see recognizable shapes, since I see one - the priest. But I can't tell what anything else is aside from random lines on a surface. I can't convince myself of any depth, direction or sense of space, and I can't decide if any particular enclosed shape is positive or negative space.

I have a lot of trouble telling negative space from positive space.
